Despite the emergence of new finishing materials, drywall remains a popular material for preparing walls for subsequent painting or wrapping wallpaper.
For decoration of walls with drywall, you will need: aluminum profiles of the UD and CD type to build a frame, fasteners of the “crab” system, screws for attaching the frame elements (small), dowels and screws for attaching profiles to the walls, screws for fastening drywall to profiles, scissors for metal , a screwdriver, a sharp knife, a level, a long ruler or a rule, putty on drywall, a spatula, a serpent tape, sandpaper for aligning their putty.
When working with drywall, you should wear a respirator and protective glasses, since the particles of gypsum dust are very small and have a greater penetrating ability.
Previously, on the walls, it is necessary to mark with a chalk or pencil the place of attachment of profiles at the rate of one profile in the middle of the stove and one at the junction of the plates (respectively, one profile in the corners of the walls).
Profiles of the UD profiles are attached to the floor and ceiling along the wall. They must be located in such a way that the CD profiles inserted into them are strictly vertically. CD profiles are additionally attached to the walls using the “Crab” connectors. To increase the strength of the frame, the profiles can be additionally fastened together with horizontal segments of the same profiles.
The fastening of drywall plates is carried out by applying them to the frame and screwing screws strictly in the profiles. Self -tapping screws should not be screwed too deep into drywall to avoid damage. Hats should also not protrude above the surface of the plates.
After the installation is completed, all the joints of whole plates should be covered with a sickle. It is not recommended to use it for places in which the joints are not deepened, since in such places after applying putty and its cleansing it can be a Serpi. Self -tapping places are also covered with putty. After aligning the putty, the surface can be covered with special preparatory soil.
