And one of the most important stages in all this event is the leveling of walls and ceilings. Without this process, it is impossible to get a good finish.
To align these surfaces, special putty mixes are used. Today they are bought in construction stores, but before you could often meet the owners who made them at home from the simplest improvised materials. But it was a rather time -consuming occupation.
Putty can already be completely ready for use. Such its options are sold in large buckets. By consistency, this material is similar to toothpaste. You can also buy a powder putty. In this case, you will have to first dilute it with water.
The plus of the first option is that you do not need to waste time for preliminary preparation. “Dry” putty is good in that you do not have to think about its overspending or lack, since you can pour the right amount of the mixture. The pasto -shaped version of this material is best used to align the ceiling if necessary, since using such a putty is quite simple, although it is more expensive.
The putty also varies for its intended purpose. First, the base is applied to the wall. Its role is the implementation of the so -called “black” alignment. A layer of such a putty can be very thick – up to 1.5 cm, although such a thickness is not needed in most cases. The second layer is finished alignment. But the putty layer is already quite thin. It usually does not exceed 0.5 cm.
